The Canmore XC Ski Camp is the perfect way to take advantage of world class instruction from some of Canada’s finest coaches. The structure of the camp allows skiers to operate at their own pace and in a group environment that is catered to their ability level.

The on snow sessions concentrate on the technical aspects of both skate and classic, with real world modeling and feedback an essential part of the program. Ski waxing instruction along with advice on ski selection will ensure you come away from this camp well informed.

For beginner skiers, in skate or classic, the Canmore XC Ski Camp supports and encourages skiers to contact the excellent team at Trailsports. They can provide private and group lessons for those of varying ability and will be operating throughout winter and during camp time. This may be the perfect opportunity for those bringing a spouse, child or friend along for the week to enroll in one of their classes. 

 DAILY SCHEDULE:
 
Total Volume – 13-15hrs
 
Day 0:    Suggested arrival day and welcome evening at the Iron Goat from 7.30pm. Appetisers included.

Day 1:    9am – 2hr - Skate ski, focus on offset skiing up hill.
                                                -Warm up for 30min, varied hills to practice the offset technique.
                                                -Video review.
                12pm – Video review
    3pm – 1.5hr - Easy classic ski, with Strength session in gym balance and core
                                       -Warm up for 30min skiing classic with some balance practice on ski’s
                                       -Gym for a 45min session
                                                -Cool down on the bikes after for 15min
 
Day 2:    9am – 2hr  - Classic ski, focus is double pole and one step double pole
                                    -Warm up for 30min, we will start double pole work on flat terrain
                                     and slowly work our way to some steep terrain. Same goes for one step
                                     doublepole.
-Video review
    12pm - Video Review
                 3pm – 1.5hr - Skate ski, focus is glide and balance
                                                -Warm up for 30min; go through some drills to practice
                                                 your glide and balance.
 
Day 3:     9am – 3-4hr - Classic ski, focus on striding
                                       -Working on good technique during a long ski
   -Video during the day.
   -Varied Location
    4pm – Video Review (plus watch a race from whistler Olympics) 
Day 4:     9am – 2hr team relay fun plus some focus on tech. (Tech tbd)
                                                -Warm up for 30min, go over course and structure of how race will be run
                                                -Go over a warm up for intensity/race.
                                                -Enjoy a head to head battle with you team.
                                                -Video will be on course.
